Currently serving as – non-official member, national biodiversity authority 2023-26, Gouri is a member of an expert committee to examine and suggest amendments to the biological diversity rules. She also provides litigation support & consultancy to the government for Koyna wildlife sanctuary & Sahyadri tiger reserve and also to villagers and forest dwellers.

Gouri’s 2 research papers on biodiversity and intersecting conservation laws is in Scopus indexed journals. She has dedicated 3000+ hours to environment & forest law, environmental awareness, and lifestyle change for environment-related lectures since 2006
